I made a portrait of a sunflower in our garden on an overcast morning. Victoria planted a little grove of them as as seeds in late spring and they have finally blomed this week.

Saturday, August 2, 2025: This majestic bald eagle, with its distinctive white head and tail, in mid-flight against a clear blue sky, showcasing its long wingspan.

The Ruby Throated Hummingbird is back in the maple tree again. This time the warm glow from the morning sun, makes his throat feathers pop even more.

This osprey, a bird of prey known for its fishing skills, glides through an overcast sky, showcasing its impressive wingspan and sharp gaze.

I’ve driven past this house numerous times during the last 8 years of living here. The occasions I’ve seen it in morning light I would make a remark to myself that I should just stop and photograph it. An early morning bagel run this weekend provided the right moment to stop and make a photograph. Most of the houses on 322, as it cuts across the pine barrens, resemble this structure. Small homes built close to the road during a time when the route was a rural backroad to the Jersey Shore.
